What are the French units that you'd most like to see in the next set of War at Sea? Obviously, this poll can't include every option. But hopefully these choices hit most of the big ones.

Select up to 3. If you don't see your favorite unit here, specify below.

Surcouf submarine.
Also the De Ruyter - CL, not french, but you don't have a poll for Dutch.

I'm surprised there are so few votes for the Bearn. Who wants to fight a fleet battle with no carrier?

Can't forget the Dutch. Their ships played a role in almost every theater of the war. There's a good chance we'll see at least a unit or two in Set 2. I'll get a poll up.

Who wants to fight fleet battles with ships that were not ever built or used?

The French had a powerful fleet of battleships and cruisers. Keep it accurate.

I'm with you on this one. I have little interest in ships that were never even commissioned during WWII. But clearly many wargamers are. GHQ includes both the Graf Zeppelin and Aquila in its miniature line.

As for the Bearn, she was active during the war — although mostly in a supporting role. After the German occupation of Vichy France, Bearn was one of several French ships that re-joined the Allies.

I agree, ships that were only "planned" and never got launched are too fictional.

Bearn was a real ship, as opposed to the Graf Zeppelin, which was also a real ship, but uncompleted.

I only made one vote for the Dunkerque....the French and WW II make me sad. They had brave soldiers, sailors and airmen and even good equipment...ask any armor historian how hard the germans had to work to take out Char Bis...but alas the leadership and the will they did not.

They should get fewer spots in Set II then they now have in Set I.
