This is a nice little convention which includes, if not features, naval and military miniatures as well as boardgames. Moreover, there is infinite table and chair space right there in the ICC cafeteria for gamers to play anything we want.
Dave of the nearby Game Room (Washington Illinois) tells me that Axis & Allies War At Sea naval miniatures "are selling like hotcakes." (I wouldn't be surprised if they made it into Toys R Us and WalMart, the way they are catching on.)
Saturday evening, I'll be running my 1:700 naval miniatures game using my own "Naval Action" rules, but I'll be bringing along my A&A WAS components and fleet for that afternoon, expecting to find LOTS of opposition from new faces.
(I'll also have along my newer/simpler boardgame about the October-December 1941 Battle of Moscow which may be going up on my webpage in a month or so.)
I have pretty much completed my Italian fleet, by the way. :)
