My friend and I did research on the German Maus tank, the very large and unrealistic tank the Germans constructed in 1944-45. Here is as accurately as we could get the stats, we still don,t have a piece.

Year-1945
Speed-1
Cost-150
Defense-11/10

AI- 7-7-6
AT-24-21-18

Special Abilities

Heavy- this unit cannot cross bridges, go on a road
LArge-this unit may not enter cover(may not start in cover)
Superior Armor 2(3) NOT SURE WHICH

Co-axial Gun, this unit may may a second anti tank attack against a vehicle next to the first target (first target must be a vehicle for this attack to be used)

Extended Range 20-(you get the picture)
-----------------------------
Historical information

The MAUS, with no ammunition weighed 188 tons, and no bridge in Germany could support that load. When on roads, the roads would crack. The Maus could only fire 30 shells from its main gun before it ran out of ammunition. Only three were ever produced. Two were destroyed from the inside,
and one is in a museum in Moscow.

----------------
We have used this a couple of times in 1000 point games, it does well as with a Pershing, 3 Easy Eights, 3 3" guns, and four shermans with ammo dump support the most we could do was disrupt it, but in games that large there are multiple objectives, where that was his only surviving piece, we had about 400-500 points left.

Thoughts opininons?

or AT values could be 0/0/0 since half of the ones built only had a gun barrel made of wood.

Someone else had posted somewhere else that it had a speed very much the same as our beloved Tiger II (King Tiger) but this is not the case.

In axis and allies, 1 hex represents a 10km per hour movement

The max speed of the King Tiger was around 30km per hour
The max speed of the Maus was 11 km per hour

Get this, the germans were considering a tank that would weighed 2500 tonnes and had an 800mm gun!(called the Landkreuzer P.1500) It never produced a prototype and the idea was abandoned in 1942. But imagine that giant in battle!(lol 100+ crew!) If you don't believe me search this online.

I think your AI is a little low for this tank since thats the basis of a couple of regular machine guns on the tank. I think it had stronger guns to deal with infantry.

The Landkreuzer P.1500 could have been a so great miniature. Useles but great.
