What's your favorite light cruiser in War at Sea? You can give your reason below, whatever that might be — playability, historical performance, or just a cool-looking mini.

Atlanta, the bane of all air-based fleets.

I like Koln, when it moves fast people always shoot at it instead of at something else, it never makes it anywhere, but....

The Atlanta is the bane of any air attack. 8 dice at two different aircraft. Plus it looks cool.

the atlanta is definitely the best of them all from a capability standpoint, but my vote is for the Gloire, because it looks cool and is a very solid cruiser for its point cost... excellent spotting makes it a great addition to a group assault, and it even has torpedoes at up to range 2!

I'm a little surprised to see Jintsu get some early votes — especially with all the talk about it being overpriced.

Atlanta. It's in almost every American build I see. Can't say that about anybody else's light cruisers.

I voted for the duca d'aosta, but i gotta say that even though it's in my allied builds it's way over powered. should've had an AA of 6 not an 8, since no axis plane will ever get through two shots at 8 dice. just my 2 cents.

I voted for the Koln because of its critical contribution to Germany's almost non-existent air defense. If you use the Koln as an AA escort for a big gun instead of using its one-time +2 movement SA, it shines.

Jintsu.
Just pulled a booster containing Jintsu and Canberra, and got to day-dreaming about single-ship/cruiser posse actions. Jintsu is such an amazing vessel.

I voted for the Duca D'aosta solely because all of the pics I've seen of it make me want one badly. In game terms, I haven't really gotten to try many cruisers out yet, as until recently I had only the Atlanta. Now I've got Atlanta, Koln, Jintsu, Gloire, and Sydney. From the stat lines I think I like Gloire the most of those, and she's not bad looking either.

For sentimental reasons it has to be HMAS Sydney for me

Boise is nice.
It's like a plane in AAM. 1 and done. But it's perfect against a pocket battleship having a chance at a 1-shot destroy. Or it can wipe out an opposing cruiser with it's 1-time ability and limp after a destroyer the next turn.

They A&A Sydney looks like an old French Lorraine/Bretagne class battleship.
For me D'Aosta/Di Savoia -- actually it's Atttendolo/Montecuccoli -- without question.
Sheer beauty, once you learn to tell its platypus bow from its stern. :)

Gotta go Atlanta. With all of those 5" guns, it may not hurt a battleship, but Kates and Vals don't stand a chance
