The following Question :
"Scout Cruiser – At the beginning of your Air Attack step, you may choose an enemy Ship. Your units roll one extra attack die when making Bomb or Gunnery attacks against that Ship this turn."

Does this ability apply to surface gunnery as well as aircraft gunnery? Or more specifically, does the ability last till the end of the turn or is it only for the Air Attack phase?

Was given the following answer :
It is perhaps unfortunate that the term "Gunnery" applies both to ship's batteries and Aircraft MGs and cannons. In this case, Scout Cruiser provides its benefit only to Aircraft Gunnery.

However, both Opening Salvo 2 and Opening Salvo 5 refer to the Tone's special ability being used for ships as well as aircraft, including herself. As near as most of my friends are capable of understanding, the target for the special ability is declared during the start of the Air Attack step, but lasts until the end of the turn, effecting all Bomb/Gunnery attempts by any unit... ships and aircraft completed.

The Q&A answer seems to contradict the earlier Opening Salvo descriptions, as well as the literal text of the Tone's SA. Can we have a review of the original answer and a re-clarification in light of this confusion?

My mistake. The bonus does apply to everything labeled as Gunnery, from both ships and aircraft. The effect lasts until the end of the turn.
