I've noticed on the US Reinforcements Chart that the first row of units (6 in all) are to be placed at UTAH BEACH ONLY. The next two units, on the second row, are placed at OMAHA BEACH ONLY, then after that units can be placed at ANY US BEACH. On page 13 of the booklet, under Reinforcements, it does not mention specifically that these units are placed separately, and I'm assuming they are placed in the Beachhead boxes mentioned on the Chart because of the logjam that occured because of the storm that blew in shortly after the invasion began. I'm thinking that my friend and I played the game wrong the first time because we placed the US forces in ANY of the US beachhead boxes. When I played the game again today, I used the Chart as the rule for were US forces must go. The game played much better (As the Allies I captured Caen and Cherbourg, while St Lo came down to the wire - with the Germans winning the day). Does anyone have any insight in to this matter? I would appreciate it. Thanks!
