The Rising Sun forced to set a few hours early!

Extra Extra, Read all about it! Japanese spearhead blunted at Hong Kong!

Dear Readers,
This gweilo has see many things, but nothing compares to the sights that I have just witnessed. The mighty war-machine of the Japanese Emperor has been stopped at the outskirts of Hong Kong. A collection of Chinese and British troops were able to stop the invasion of Hong Kong! From my vantage point in the House of the Moaning Peach, I was able to see all the action.
A mixed and motley group of Japanese tanks and infantry advanced on the British and Chinese positions. I saw both regular infantry and Special Naval Landing Force troops. As their mortar rounds rained down on the "hotel" where I was staying, the Japanese infantry advanced. Our Bofors was quickly silenced, but I could see a Flying Tiger in the distance making short work of the Japanese artillery positions. Thank God for the Yanks and their Warhawks! The brave pilot even downed a "Zero" before the battle was done!
I'm sure you have heard of the Koumintang soldiers and their lack of fighting spirit, but the individuals that I saw fought like lions! His Majesties troops didn't do half bad either and were able to blunt the assault before tea time! The Japanese seemed like fanatics with their fixed bayonets and their shiny steel blades! Their swords and ersatz spears were no match for the leaded greeting that our Maxims spat out! The best of Britain made their stand in a grove of trees and with the help of some Chinese Riflemen and Machine Guns they were able to literally mow the invaders down! It appeared that our boys had even Jerry-rigged a Maxim to a Yank vehicle! This Hellish Half-track was able to stop a Japanese tank! Upon seeing their steel samurai defeated the remainder of the invaders turned tail and ran!
Well, dear readers, now that the roar of battle has fallen silent it is time to care for the wounded and bury the dead. I hope that the Rising Sun will be extinguished as easily wherever it decides to rear its horrible head!
Respectfully,
Mantidman, the "sit-and-wait reporter"

It appears the Japanese are having quite a lot of trouble achieving their goals in Southeast Asia.

Nice AAR up Mantidman. However, be ready this Thursday as Hong Kong will again be pressed and Taken. The second Japanese wave will sweep your armies before it:eek:

Oh, yea I can't wait for your AAR on how your Japanese attack total destroyed my 100% Chinese army::(
