I believe I'll spend some time playing the Holy Trinity:

Britannia, Age of Renaissance, and Manifest Destiny.

Which one will be your team game?

Let me know.

Not one of those three. Here's too much information:

Caylus would be my best bet, but it's semi-fianls will conflict with the finals of Goa. So if I found myself in the Goa finals I wouldn't even play Caylus any more.

BUT, if I make the Britannia semi-finals (which is a big question mark), then it conflicts with the Goa semis. And so playing the Brit semis kills the Goa semis, but that reopens the chance to play in the Caylus semis.

So I'll probably pick War of the Ring which I did well in last year, but have hardly played since, only because there is no conflict with it (except Die Macher, but I'll only play in it if I lose one of the first two rounds of War of the Ring).

When I suggested that Yope said he wasn't coming until later in the week. "Family obligations". I don't get it, but I suspect CrazyStraw is a factor in this some how.

And of course when Yope visits you we never hear about it since it "stays in Vegas".

Just under two weeks to the tourney!

The first three preliminary rounds are on Thursday. Then those who do well enough on Thursday move on to Friday for the Single Elimination rounds.

I hope to see you there.

To clarify for Yoper, his information is for the Axis & Allies tournament at the WBC (he sometimes forgets this thread is in the generic T&E folder).

Then again, they are supposed to have gone to the preview page in the link above and they would then know that I am talking about the A&A tourney.

Also, I am the GM of the A&A event (as listed in my info on each post) so I would hope they make the connection.

Yes, new people may not know this though.

Thanks for the psa on the topic.

Everything is a blast so far! I'm in the finals for Age of Renaissance and the semi-finals for Britannia.

Axis and Allies is running smooth.

Time to go check out the vendors.

So...what are the results...? I know, my curiousity has gotten the best of me...

Peace,
GS:)

I already forgot the winner's name. I think he played last year, but I know he was not one of the top 6 places then.

He mentioned that the final came down to a longshot attack that panned out. The rest of the details are fuzzy, but I'm sure Craig will post more soon enough.

My personal tournaments led to a victory in Die Macher plus 3rd place finishes in Age of Renaissance and Caylus.

I had a tight Britannia semi-final game that didn't work out, plus I missed the Manifest Destiny semis to play in the Caylus final.
