After weeks of battles we have arrived on the doorstep of Kunming and have cut the Burma Road at it's terminus. The remnants of the Chinese divisions made a last stand south of Lake Dianchi. Despite the abundance of ammunition and a well coordinated command structure, the bulk of the Chinese forces were inexperienced Yunannese conscripts that fought well until fired upon! After which they dropped their weapons and vanished into the jungle. Our scout tanks circled the lake and entered the undefended city destroying vast stores of inferior Chinese ammunition.
