FROM: Field Marshall Wavell, ABDA Commander
Our position in Java has proven untenable. The Japanese 16th Army has overrun our defenses and I am hastily evacuating my new headquarters. Let it be noted that Brigadier Blackburn's force defended the approaches to Sukabumi valiantly and were annihilated to the man before they could fall back. The British 3rd Hussars also fought well, one of their Crusader II tanks single-handedly penetrated the Japanese lines to destroy an ammo dump which greatly hindered the enemies advance and bought us time to escape. I would recommend the crew for posthumous decoration, but unfortunately we are burning our records now and my adjutant has been unable to learn their identity.

PS: For my next command, I would be immensely pleased if his Lordship assigned me to a theatre where there are sufficient forces to fend off the enemy.
