Hi.
I posted a few short battle reports from our last evening of AAM at the following link:

You can also check our Campaign (http://rpg.redgolem.com/axis-allies) which is inspired in great part on Der Leiter's excellent material! There are a few sections in French but most of it is in English.
Cheers!

Great Flamingo swarm. That flaming group of armor was the death of my squad, once upon a time.

That's 2.5% of the entire Flammpanzer II production run right there.

It would have been great if my opponent didn't have an airplane. That Meteor forced me to charge with my Flamingos instead of using cover to slowly advance toward his troops...
@Steve: only 160 Flamingo were manufactured then?

According to the 'bible', 155 Flamigos were manufactured.

@ Uncle_Joe:
Did the Flamingo take part in any offensive? Did they do anything? I'm just wondering. These tanks would probably strike fear in the hearts of enemy soldiers! Thanks for the information.

According to Jane's, the only theater the Flamingos were used on was the eastern front in late 1941/early 1942. Apparently, casualty rates among them were pretty high.
BTW, Uncle Joe, which "bible" are you using?

I dont know of any particular battles where Flamingos were used, sorry.
Tom, I'm using the ASL Rulebook and the AFV notes in the back. Its a wealth of well-researched data that is well organized with lots of relevant notes for gaming.

Thanks RB77. I like to keep an archive of past games. The "visual" side of this hobby really makes it appealing to me. That's one reason why I make my own 3D terrain. I'm working on a set of 3" hexes right now for the upcoming maps. BTW, does anybody have any link to maps with 3" hex? I'd like to test fit my hexes!

Flamingos took part in operation Barbarossa. They were distributed throught Panzer Platoons, and took the Infantry support role. The turret held a machine gun , and the flamethrowers were on the front left and right corners on pivots. They suffered weak armor like most German tanks at the time.
