Just started playing this game and so far we are having a lot of fun with it trying out the new monsters and such. A couple of questions have come up though.

1) RADIATION FIELD: if Captain Colossal or Mecha-Monster roll a "1" are they destroyed as well?

2) Do Captain Colossal/Mecha-Monster take advantage of all your Military Research cards that you have? Like Fusion Cells and such?

3) If someone gets the Guard Commander card does their military research then apply to the Nat. Guard too or just your original mil. units?

I guess right now thats about all. Haven't played that much so I'm sure I'll have more questions to ask.

Would LOVE to see an 'expansion' of sorts with new monsters like "Ants" and the 'new instructions' could show you where the new lairs are and could even include stickers to add to your board or simply squares to place there if you didn't want to permanatly attach anything to it. A cool power, to me, for them would be like the rampage card since the Ants would not be just one ant but a hive of them. The 'new' Ants coming from the lair would be different than the ones that went in. Would be a bummer to draw the rampage though.

Seems like there is a LOT they could do with this game to add on to it. Monsters Meanace the Eurpoe - Asia - or even a massive board and have the WORLD. Could include things like Dinosaurs (Jurassic Park type mischief) and boats to get monsters across the sea (ala King Kong and Jurassic Park).

Anyway like the game a lot and would love to see more added to it. and thanks to anyone that answers the above questions.

A strict reading of the rules would indicate so, but that seems overpowered. We play it that the giant military units suffer one point of damage instead, since one point is enough to destroy normal military units.

2) Do Captain Colossal/Mecha-Monster take advantage of all your Military Research cards that you have? Like Fusion Cells and such?
I would say not, since they are not normal military units.

The Guard Commander card says that you may move and redeploy Guard units - it does not say that you "own" them. Given this specific language, you are granted these two abilities (with all that entails), and there is no reason to read any more into the card. This leads to the conclusion that Military Research cards do not apply to Guard units. Also, giving a player the ability to treat Guard units exactly like his own, with the full power of Military Research cards would be very powerful, in effect doubling the military force he commands. This would unbalance the game.
