From looking around I haven't seen many threads discussing specific builds. Perhaps we could have a section for builds? I'm looking for some ideas on how to field a fun effective German force to stop two KV-1's also if anyone wants to toss out some advice.

Here is one of the most entertaining anti KV-1 forces I've used.
1 x German Tank Hunting Platoon (63 pts)
- 1 x Jagdpanther
- 2 x Jagdpanzer Hetzer
2 x Goliath (14 pts)
2 x SD Kfz 250 (16 pts)
1 x Hauptsturmfuhrer (7 pts)
Load up the Goliaths, charge forward and blast KV-1s.
Alternately, load up on Panzershrecks, Panzerfausts, and a few Nebelwerfers. A couple of Fallschirmjager and/or a few PzKpfw 38. Drop the paras behind their largest concentration of infantry on the first turn and/or race behind them with the PzKpfw 38s. Use your assault phase to move into enfilade, blow crap out of them with large salvos from Nebelwerfers. Use Panzerschrecks and Panzerfausts to kill the KV-1s. This is more gamey and less fun IMO, but then again your opponent is using two KV-1s so I wouldn't feel a lot of guilt.

German Tank hunting platoon for sure, throw in a Sturmpanzer IV to deal with an infantry threat.

If not using platoons then Marders and Elites have a good chance. You'd outnumber him in shots. The KV-1 has below average chance to score a kill shot at medium range (would have to go 6/11) so you may get 2 shots out of them. The units that are damaged can still hit hard enough to have a decent chance to hurt a disrupted KV-1. The Hetzer is probably the best bet though. A KV-1 is very unlikely to 1-shot kill a Hetzer. So the Hezter is my recommendation.

17-Pounder Anti-Tank Gun
40mm Bofors L60
M4A3 (105) Sherman
M1 81mm Mortar
KV-1 x3
Cossak Captain
Communist Partisans x2
Hero of the Soviet Union x2
Tank Obstacle x2
Ammo Dump
200 pts (Expanded rules, limit of 4 special units)
I won 1 match yesterday with this built, and 1 unit short of a second one.
The other match was contested with this axis built:
SS Hauptstumführer
Wehrmacht Expert Sniper
Grizzled Veteran x2
sGrW 81mm Mortar
Veteran Tiger x2
Wehrmacht Veteran Infantrymen
Fallschirmjäger
Blackshirts
Stalwart Hero
Tank Obstacle
I lost the only match, for lack of time at the end and short of one unit again.
Be advise that we were playing on Winter maps with
distance limit: decided by two dice at the beginning of each match

Double cost terrain - Full movement of units

2 WESnipers 22p
1 WoLT 35p
3 SD KFZ 250's 59p
2 Panzer Grenadiers 69p
1 BMW 74p
1 Grizzled Veteran 82p
1 Blackshirt 86p
2 SS PG. 100p
100pts
Put the two SS PG's and Balckshirt mounted. Spread the Sniper out to cross fire. Drop the first toward the front and roll back to pick up the Panzergreandier WoLT. Movement next turn, mount and dismount the PG's (hopefully you've headshot a tank) and drive the WoLT to allow angriffing of the PG's, SS PG's, Hero and Blackshirt.

If you know that you will face 2 KV-1s then its 3 Hetzer (60 points) - add Infantry to face the infantry threat...
No need for Snipers as the KV-1 is undergunned... (at last in comparison to the Hetzer...
