So, I suppose it's time once again for another inventory thread. As before, please list how large your collection is. You can break it down as detailed as you'd like.

But, so we can gauge the impact of figure upscaling, please also answer the following question:

What are your future collecting plans:
a. Will collect future figures, and keep current collection.
b. Will collect future figures, and convert older figures as re-sculpts become available.
c. Will collect future figures, and no longer keep older figures.
d. Will keep older figures, and add just new soldiers as they become availalbe.
e. Will keep older figures, but will purchase new figures occasionally, and not actively collect new figures.
f. Will keep older figures, and will not purchase any new figures.
g. Am no longer collecting, and will get rid of my current collection.

NOTE: I am not making this a poll, because I want to see the size of each person's collection in relation to each person's plans with this game.

PLEASE...NO SOAPBOX SPEECHES about the merits/demerits of how the game is changing. We've all had our say on that subject in many other places. This is just for data-gathering purposes. Feel free to comment about each other's collections.

I'll offer my collection first:

e. I will keep the old figures and purchase some new stuff as soon as they become available. My army has been slowly changing to something I want to play. I've been slowly getting rid of models for armes that I no longer play.

Allies:
Australia: 90 points (18 models)
Canada: 670 points (100 models)
France: 15 points (5 models)
Poland: 565 points (115 models) (30 commons 65 uncommons 20 rares)
Soviet Union: roughly 1000 points (50 models)
United Kingdom: about 1500 points
United States 600 points (50 models)

I have close to 3000 points in German forces. I have 300 points in Japanese models, most of which are arisaka rifles. And less than 100 points in each of the remaining factions.

I will be collecting future figures, as well as keeping my current collection.

I would love to be able to give a detailed analysis of my collection, but I have been buying mixed boosters and even a case or two  during the past couple weeks and have not had time to really organize my forces. I will say that I have over 1,000 miniatures total and at least 1 of every piece from set 1 through 5.

Generally, choice e., will keep older figures, but may collect new ones, etc.
It depends on the state of the new figures.

I have a modest collection, but if forced to count it, I might be embarrassed by how much I have spent.

Ignorance is bliss...

I've also got a modest collection -- a little over 2 cases for each of the sets I-IV (Set V lost me with HQs and ammo dumps, or whatever those weird pieces were).

I'm planning on choosing option f - keep older pieces but not buy any new ones. The WW2 market is hot right now, and I'm enjoying a few of the other offerings (M44 and TOI are my two favorites at the moment).

Seems to me AAM has been changing a lot in the past few months. New rules, maps, scales, units. I want to see what it all looks like when the dust settles before I say definitively if I'm done with it.

I don't know about you, but I'd certainly be doing other things than play with AAM while in Ibiza!

Unless you're too young for the club scenes. Then there are still movie houses and other things to do! You're in Ibiza! Enjoy it! :D

I just want to thank everyone that posted totals. I get worried when I see all my Axis and Allies Miniatures then add War at Sea, plus my Star Wars....

Certainly pour a lot of money into my addiction, I mean hobby.

I didn't get my collection on here...too much time--sorry. It's modest but still considerable. (I will collect new sets and play V2.0 vehicles separately from V1.o)

People spend more weekly money on booze, drugs (same thing), gambling, pick your vice. Gaming isn't such a bad thing, eh?

Our fun maintains the economy and our high level of interest in living. A good thing thing in my book. :)

Game on.

a. Will collect future figures, and keep current collection.

I have at a minimum:

2 of every rare
6 of every uncommon
10 of every common.

Total number of units: 1746
Total unit cost: 16,991

This doesn't count about another 3 dozen figures I picked up at Historicon, so the real total is around 1780 figures. I haven't updated my Excel spread sheet yet.

I have around 1300 mini's.

I plan to buy singles of each Soldier and Aircraft, and might consider buying Vehicles that are not present in some form in the earlier sets like the Mathilda (but definitely NOT reprints with different names like the (SS) Panzer IV F2/G!).

My "strategy" was to buy 2-2.5 cases of each set to get enough of the commons and uncommons, and buy extra rares... Won't be buying any cases anymore though, because of the vehicles I'm not interested in, the prices that have gone up, and the sucky new distribution model.

Just for the sake of argument, I counted my figures last night:
the total is 606, including aircraft, tanks and infantry.
The majority of figures are German (vehicle variety), followed by the Americans, British and Japanese. There is a smattering of Italians, Romanians, and Commonwealth soldiers.
I have collected no Russians simply because of the insane unavailability of
T-34's, etc.

I've got plenty to play with. I think I also have some more soldier units that I can use for mods, but I didn't include them in my total.
