View Full Version : Alternative Combat Rules?

Has anyone ever developed different combat procedures for land, air or naval battles? Ones that are still simple enough in keeping with the A&A, yet allow for more realistic interplay between different types of opposing units (e.g. simultaneous FTR to FTR air battles fighting while land units slug it out). And more realistic combat results (e.g., preventing a player from taking only INF casualties when he has many different types of units participating in a battle). I have been working on some alternative combat procedures for myself just for the fun of it, but I would be interested in any such house rules others might have come up with. (They would probably apply to A&A games in general and not just A&A Pacific)

Here is something along those lines that I posted a while back:

Alternative D12 Combat System (http://boards.avalonhill.com/showthread.php?t=1328&)

I have revised it some more since then. If you are interested, I can give you an update.
