What is TWIXT?

I am in richmond. Interested in playing any form of WWI, WWII, or pre WWI recreation game. But I like somewhat factual games so maybe something like attack is out of the question.

Twixt is an abstract game. It bears about as much relation to a war game as checkers. Less, actually, since at least in checkers you are trying to wipe out the opposing pieces. Here are some links:
