when to expect the opening salvo for set 2

WAS is my first wotc game and i love it what i dont love is the wait for set to and no info at all besides speculation. either way i cant wait for set 2.
anyway question for u vets out there how much longer do you sapose till we get the opening salvo for set 2.... im chomping at the bit for info

Set II is currently expected to hit the stores in the spring or summer of 2008. Might as well relax, it will be a while...

Yep, Set I was spring last year and the opening salvos didn't start until after the new year I think. So if it is coming out in summer, look to the web-site after the vernal equinox.

Oh boy that is depressing news!! Given that the original release was somewhat hit and miss in terms of ships available I was hoping that a quick release of set 2 would redress the balance somewhat.

Any ideas as to what willbe coming up in the set?

(Praying feverishly for a Hipper class cruiser, KGV battleship, Colony/Town class cruisers, Illustrious CV, Narvik and tribal class DDs, Zara and Cavour for the Italians not to mention some JU88s, SM79, Fulmars and dont even get me started on the Pacific!!)

(I also forget a Warspite and perhaps a Repulse..)

Check out the comprehensive set 2 thread. that has everything we know so far. I think the only confirmed units are kamikaze and warspite.
