I need to know if the SA given to an aircraft by the carrier is only assigned to aircraft from that carrier. Say you lose all the Enterprise's plane to antiair. But you have a St.lo with wildcats on board do those planes get to use Expert dogfighter from the Enterprise. The card say a friendly fighter may be choosen. My Question is does that friendly fighter need to be off the deck of the Enterprise. Please tell me if i'm making it way to complext. Is it just that simple or do we need to keep track of what plane is assigned to what carrier.

No need to keep track of it - just go by what is written: "choose a fighter". Any fighter :)

I agree with Evilkobra. Remember that there were ships in WW2 other than aircraft carriers which carried communications equipment, radars and plot rooms for aircraft control. They were used to help guide land based aircraft and fighters working beyond direct control range of their parent carrier.
I'd like to see it introduced as an SA for some cruisers in the game. HMS/HMAS Shropshire was certainly equiped and used that way.

it is any plane, not just ones the carrier launched.
