Hi,

The local stores in my area (Utrecht, the Netherlands) have now been out of booster packs for about two months!

Has anyone any idea where they gone to? Are they gonna be restocked?

WotC did not expect WaS to be quite as popular as it is. As a result they under produced the miniatures. They have ramped up production and boosters are more readily available now. Either bug your FLGS to order more, or just order them yourself online or on ebay.

For those people who do not know geography: I live in the Netherlands. That is in Europe.

In europe, people don't have creditcards readily available and when ordering from the states they risk extra taxes. Also, you're customer rights are very limited, because of the distance.

Therefore, most europeans prefer to order their products more locally. If anyone got any local tips: you're welcome!

But damned, 9 dollars for a booster, thats cheap. In the Netherlands you pay 15 euros (22 dollars) per booster!

So let me rephrase my questions to:

1. Are there any european (preferabbly dutch) on-line stores who still got boosters? Does anyone has any good experiences with them?

2. Are there any dutch (region Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam) local stores who sell boosters cheaply?

When I was in Utrecht recently, they store I went to was also out. The manager had no idea when WotC was going to restock, but he was interested to find out that the U.S. store had already received their 2nd run. E-mail WotC ... they may be able to give you an ETA.

Thanks for the info on the online store. I have been looking online to buy them cheap and it is better then paying $15 for a booster pack. I just bought a case of boosters with my friend.

Hi Babs,

As you know I'm also in the Netherlands; I've ordered a booster case from www.miniaturemarket.com and have to say it's the best deal I've found so far. A case cost 137 dollars (96 euro!) including shipping, so even if you end up having to pay import taxes (19% plus handling), you'll still pay far less than if you bought the case in Europe.

Interesting...

When I buy via my local store I would pay E13.50 per booster for a total of E162 for 12 boosters.

The cases are for sale for $109 dollars so you pay around 27 dollars for transporting it to europe. A total of 96 euros as you claim. There is a considerable chance the douane will check your items and give you 19% VAT (BTW) and importtaxes (to be determined per product up to 20%). In the worst case it would cost you about 135 euros. Still cheaper, but then again you give up your rights for return and warranty as something is not easily sent back to the US of A.

Anyways, i'd like to have a more interested report of your experience. I have so far only ordered things in the netherlands with registered companies (checken bij de kamer van koophandel) which I had to pay in advantage via debet (bank) transfer or pay on delivery (rembours).

I do not own a creditcard, but i;m willing to get one if on-line adventures are worth it.

Also if any other dutch or europeans have experiences i'd like to hear them as well.

Well, the warranty and right of return issues are something I'm usually only concerned about when dealing with things that can malfunction or arrive broken, e.g. electronics (which I always order locally). For items such as books or figures, I wouldn't worry - what are the odds that you're going to want to return a case of miniatures?

One more thing BTW, buying a case is NOT the same as buying 12 boosters. When you buy a sealed case, you are guaranteed not to have duplicate rares. So even if a case was slightly more expensive than 12x boosters bought separately, I'd still prefer it.

You are very right. But there are changes you get a wrong card or missing a miniature. But I think that in that case you should contact WOTC anyways.

I see, i didnt knew that.

And does that specific shop you mentioned delivers sealed cases?

My box just arrived, exactly one week after I sent the order - even though I chose regular delivery, not express.

No customs charges, either: their value declaration was... creative ;)

All in all, very impressive!
