I was wondering if those who have an M18 could give us a little info on this piece?
Pretty please?!:D
Thanks in advance!:)
Kinda trying a double question poll, the middle option is the second question.

Length wise it's shorter than the Set 1 M18. It's also wider. Again compared to the Set VI M4A1 its shorter lengthwise and wider. I think thats why you're getting mixed results. Yes it is bigger in width, but it's shorter in length.

Good point. Please consider the poll questions in terms of length.

I'm not sure the problem is the m18, it might be the M4A1. I compared my new AAM M4A1 to my Flames of War M4A1. The AAM miniature is slightly shorter. If I sit my M18 next to my Flames of War M4A1 the whole scale issue looks a lot better.

Well, while that is a good point, these pieces should have been scaled as a set and not to FOW pieces. So while the M4A1 may be itself in error, it should still be a good point of reference. I don't really care about if it's exact or anything anyway. I'm not that much into scale. But I have seen a properly scaled M18 next to a properly scaled M4A1, and the Sherman is longer and taller.

Now that I look closely the Sherman is really only slightly longer. Still longer though.

Well, that's the way it should be, that's a good thing, IMHO.:)

Comparing the old Hellcat to the new one - the lenght of the chassis is about the same (the barrel is longer on the new one). The chassis is wider on the new one (by almost a 1/4 inch). Also the new Hellcat is a little taller.
Comparing the new Hellcat to the new Sherman - The new Sheman's chassis is sligjhtly longer than the new Hellcat (just an 1/8 inch longer because of the fenders on the Sherman). The Hellcat is an 1/8 inch wider than the new Sherman.
So the new Hellcat is much closer in size to the new Sheman in the new set (especially when compared to the original pair). The new Hellcat simply looks a bit plumper/puffed up than the new Sherman.
I also agree that something is a little off on the scale of the Sherman in this equation somehow. However, the new Sherman is almost 33% bigger than the original. So it has changed more in many ways than the Hellcat did during this upgrade.
And finally, the old Hellcat's size works fine with the new Sherman, too. The old Hellcat just looks a bit skinny/narrow after seeing the new one.
I hope this helps!

Well, that sounds along the lines as it should be a little anyway, I sure would like to see it. It's the same model as the old one, right?
I'm no expert, all I know is that the M18 should come off looking a bit smaller overall length wise and in height to the Sherman M4A1.
By my thinking, as I have two original M18s, the new one should be wider, not quite as long or as tall as the original.
Sounds like its pretty close, no?

I saw it yesterday. It's a block. Panzerkampfwagen is going to check into it to see if that's what it should look like.
It's not bad, but it's definitely different.

A different model! Sweet, not that I'm buying any of them mind you, but that is as it should be. The old model is a dog, and the M18, the M10 along with the M36, are some of my favorite Yankee AFVs.
Done right, who knows, maybe even I'll sneak a few of the new maxi pa...er, check that, uh...super-size units into my collection!;)

The new stuff's pretty decent aside of minor issues. I got a KT which was pretty sweet, a Stuka which is cool but got immediately traded off to 118th_MPCo_abn for the Iowa he traded me weeks back. The PZIII in the starter is a rare and is good...I'm happy with the starter vehicles and will p/u another starter eventually.
Some of the paint schemes are not to my liking (mustard Somua), but again, it's a minor issue. Others are much, much better than the old ones (T-34/76). They're going to be redone by me anyhow so I don't much care.
Oh, the German halftrack looks great. Still has a shallow rear. I'll mod mine deeper. Gray w/ decals.
One more thing, and this may be big...The spitfire looks suspiciously like a spitfire. Anybody else notice this peculiarity?

From what I can tell the width on the M18 Hellcat is correct however the piece is a little too big (more in the height then any other dimension). The old piece was far to narrow. I do believe the new Sherman is too small. Overall though I think the new pieces are far better than the ones from v1.0.

Mustard Somua...I think I had that for lunch the other day. Was that on rye bread or wheat?

Good Lord, is it yellow?
That second pic was so big my dog started barking at the monitor!:D
Is that yours?
If so, what's your take on it? Good or bad?
Thanks for putting up with all my pestering questions!

My take...
Well, I did like the original green, but now it is olive/barfing so the color is off for me...
Yes, this is the real color.

Gosh, I don't know, but it looks like they got this one too big as well, if I could get my dog to stop barking at the damm screen...

*sigh*
It just never ends, does it?

It looks like it was put on wrong, like its turned a few degrees clockwise.
