My Soviet Army consisting of 100 points is undefeated for a month. I haven't lost a match against over 7 opponents. My army contains both new and old versions of the Axis and Allies Miniatures. Won over 12 games with zero losses. My most crushing victory came in my 8th game. We played a special 200 point army.

My setup:

1 Guards T-34/85
1 KV-1
3 T-34/76
1 SU-85
2 PPSh 41 SMG
1 Fanatical Sniper
1 ZIS-2 57mm Model 1943

My opponet's setup

1 King Tiger
2 Blackshirts
3 SS-Panzergrenadier
1 PAK-40
2 Panzer III Ausf F.
1 Tiger I
1 SS-Haupsturmfuhrer

Overall Battle:
We played by normal objective rules on the new maps from the starter. I loaded my PPSh SMG into my T-34/76s. His King Tiger blasted away when he was at the objective. He caught my Guards T-34/85 trying to sneak its way behind his PAK 40. It ended with the Guards being disrupted. His Tiger I was trying to get into a forest, but failed twice. It wouldn't get a third. Since my opponent didn't fear my 3 T-34/76, I used my KV-1 as bait and covering fire while 2 T-34/76s attacked the Tiger I from the rear. My first try on the Tiger I ended up as a disrupted. The second shot at its rear killed it. My KV-1 was taking all the heat, with a disrupted and a damage counter already on, it wouldn't last long. It already used its Hulking Mass ability. I ended up losing the KV-1 to the King Tiger. I lost a T-34/76 when the Tiger Fired back at my two T-34/76. Meanwhile, during the fray, my SU-85 went around the King Tiger successfully, and shot the King Tiger at close range. I got lucky and disrupted and damaged it from behind. My Guards T-34/85 finished the job. My Guards was then punished by his PAK 40 at close range.:( His 2 Panzer III disrupted my SU-85, but my SU-85 just blasted away at a Panzer III at medium range. I finished by controlling the objective with a T-34/76.

I almost always use an all Soviet Army against Axis or Allies. Please put any comments I should use for a Soviet Army.

Thanks

With a 12-0-0 track record, you don't need advice for your Soviets, but it's rather your opponents that would need some against you :D

Good battle report, thanks!

Your army is extremely tank heavy. Usually a german opponent shouldnt have trouble against tank heavy forces like that, because they have all the anti tank anyone could wish for. To begin with, I cant seem to find any Wehrmacht Expert Sniper, nor enough PAK40's in your opponents army. Both are very cost effective tank killers.

Also I find it strange that you manage to outmanouevre your opponent (i.e. well done!), as he gives you the opportunity to attack him from the rear. Usually I try to cover my advancing tanks with anti tank guns and a bit of infantry support, so if someone gets too close, he either loses a tank versus some infantry close assault, or versus a well placed AT gun.

I must thus conclude as well that your opponents have a lot to learn.

200 point 'counter' army (should be good against most enemies though) :

Infantry Base
2 BMW's (10) (recon/flankers)
4 Mausers (12) (mostly useful against -other- armies : decent blockers)
2 251 Transports (12) (enfilade/flankers)
1 Panzerschrecks (7) (who knows, might slaughter your tanks)
2 SS Haubtsturmfuhrers (14) (supporting the infantry)
2 Minefields (can come in very handy to block some unwanted moves)

AT Support
3 Wehrmacht Expert Snipers (33) (headshot will disrupt tanks to a halt)
3 PAK-40's (42) (these should be able to execute any disrupted tank)

Tank Force
1 Brummbaer (22) (very tough, no infantry smiles with this around)
2 Pz IV F2 (44) (nice & cheap : able tank killers, able support tanks)

nice army, I would have to add in some more stuff becuase more than half my stuff would be close assualted by infantry. This army was specifically desginated to take out heavy armor. I'll comment back on what my changes are. I also forgot to mention I pulled everything here from 6 boosters and a starter except the Guards and some infantry.

Thanks

Do you play expanded rule with this build?

105pts per 100pt for the Soviets. The T-34's form a platoon.
