My Soviet Army consisting of 100 points is undefeated for a month. I haven't lost a match against over 7 opponents. My army contains both new and old versions of the Axis and Allies Miniatures. Won over 12 games with zero losses. My most crushing victory came in my 8th game. We played a special 200 point army.
My setup:
1 Guards T-34/85
1 KV-1
3 T-34/76
1 SU-85
2 PPSh 41 SMG
1 Fanatical Sniper
1 ZIS-2 57mm Model 1943
My opponet's setup
1 King Tiger
2 Blackshirts
3 SS-Panzergrenadier
1 PAK-40
2 Panzer III Ausf F.
1 Tiger I
1 SS-Haupsturmfuhrer
Overall Battle:
We played by normal objective rules on the new maps from the starter. I loaded my PPSh SMG into my T-34/76s. His King Tiger blasted away when he was at the objective. He caught my Guards T-34/85 trying to sneak its way behind his PAK 40. It ended with the Guards being disrupted. His Tiger I was trying to get into a forest, but failed twice. It wouldn't get a third. Since my opponent didn't fear my 3 T-34/76, I used my KV-1 as bait and covering fire while 2 T-34/76s attacked the Tiger I from the rear. My first try on the Tiger I ended up as a disrupted. The second shot at its rear killed it. My KV-1 was taking all the heat, with a disrupted and a damage counter already on, it wouldn't last long. It already used its Hulking Mass ability. I ended up losing the KV-1 to the King Tiger. I lost a T-34/76 when the Tiger Fired back at my two T-34/76. Meanwhile, during the fray, my SU-85 went around the King Tiger successfully, and shot the King Tiger at close range. I got lucky and disrupted and damaged it from behind. My Guards T-34/85 finished the job. My Guards was then punished by his PAK 40 at close range.:( His 2 Panzer III disrupted my SU-85, but my SU-85 just blasted away at a Panzer III at medium range. I finished by controlling the objective with a T-34/76.
I almost always use an all Soviet Army against Axis or Allies. Please put any comments I should use for a Soviet Army.
Thanks
