Am I correct in my reading of the rules that troops can only be reenforced on land pathways - for example, troops in Sicilia can not be moved out during the reenforcement phase?

You can reinforce Sicilia...(which is a land territory) by the way of "water" pathway (dashed-lines) to it from...Apulia!-(Southern Italy)

It's the "unbroken path through Land territories you control" that makes it confusing to me. To me (and the rest of my game group) this sounds like the armies can only travel over land, which would rule out being able to travel across water pathways. This seemed overly restrictive though, so I wanted to see what other players thought about this.

"Unbroken" means that you have to have a "fortified" line all the way back to where you started from to where the reinforcing army is going!
(when reinforcing, you can ONLY move armies thru your armies (friendly units) ONLY....that is what is meant by "unbroken"....you can't have your reinforcing army "jump/bypass" any enemy armies when reinforcing.) ;)
...It is not talking about "Unbroken" of the dashed-lines for the water/path ways.
Mike Selinker (lead designer) should be on soon to clearify it for you...I just try to answer it to the best ability so you guys can enjoy your next game soon without any doubts/fights- :p
[Hope that makes sense now]-:D

I can see the logic of that - although we're all rules lawyers, so we nit-pick these things to death *grin*
Thanks for your input!

Yeah, Nick's right. It just means a connected set of territories in the Overworld. You can cross water territories along the dotted lines to do so.

Yeah...no kidding! Just do what I do:
I leave my pc booted up on these threads....and if we have any questions or doubts I just go here and show them: "....see I told you so" (or) "....you see MIke says here....." (lol)- :D
or even just add another question in the forum and usually it gets answered within
the course of the game!

It will definately make it easier to get gods moved around - right now we just have them standing on the shores of Atlantis shaking their fists at their followers across the sea *grin*.
It reminds me of playing Age of Mythology - Titans expansion. So far I have found out if you can move a Titan off of an island, and we had an island game, and there was a poor Titan just standing on the beach looking forlornly in the distance as the troop ships took all his buddies to go fight.
