The scenario- Germany v America

It is turn three and Germany has made their attacks. It is now the US turn. During the German attack both (2) of my Screamin Eagle Paratroopers recieved a face down disrupted counter.

My two paratroopers are in the same hex facing a Panzer tank that has a face up disrupted counter from the turn two casualty phase.

Paratrooper #1 attacks and scores a hit on the Panzer tank-
Paratrooper #2 attacks and scores a hit on the Panzer tank-

The question: Is the tank destroyed?
OR
Did Paratrooper #1 disrupt the tank again giving it a face down disruption counter...
AND Paratrooper #2 obtain a hit which gives the Panzer a face down damaged counter...

If the Panzer already has a face up disrupted counter does the next hit cuase damage, or simply disrupt the tank for the next turn. Which means the next consecutive hit causes damage in the same turn.

This was a bit confusing to us at the table and we couldn't find a clear rule about it. Please let me know.

Thanks

Face-up and face-down counters don't stack. In your example, the second (OR) option is the correct one. The Paratroopers already benefited from the tank's face-up disruption marker by its defense being lowered by 1; they wouldn't have scored those individual hits without that.
