Again the mention of attacking the US mainland. Maybe they mean the US island holdings in the South Pacific (like Fiji and Samoa) that were vital to keeping the supply lines to Australia open. Japanese Naval Command were planning on ultimately moving against them until Yamamoto blackmailed them into attacking Midway.

Also it's nice to see that we already have a FAQ out! Thanks guys.

But what's all this about Destroyers only being able to carry Infantry while Transports can carry Artillery and Supplies?

I'll double check the rulebook when I get home but I think that was just a statement in passing. In the 3 games I player, we transported any land unit in the destroyer.

But what's all this about Destroyers only being able to carry Infantry while Transports can carry Artillery and Supplies?

A destroyer can carry one land unit of any type or a supply token.

I just finished reading the rules with this in mind and it never specifies DD can only transport Infantry. It always says land units or supply tokens.

Can you put chips under supply tokens? Apparently a developer answered affirmatively to this question on board geek, but the FAQ seems to contradict this somewhere since it says somewhere: "Supply tokens, are tokens and not units." Like I said, it seems contradictive.....

True, the rules don't specifically say that you can put chips under supply tokens. However, they don't specifically say you can't, either. While the rules specifically state that chips are stacked under units, and the FAQ states that supplies aren't units, there is no rule that says that supplies are limited to the number of tokens in the game. In a situation like this, a designer or developer's comments can be treated as a rules clarification. I don't see a conflict.

This may be a moot point anyway, since I doubt you'll want to stockpile enough supplies to make this an issue.

In my experience with the game so far, having enough supply tokens hasn't been an issue. But I must say I like the idea of stacking chips under them - never thought of that before. And unless it is officially posted that we cannot do this, I think I will stack the tokens with chips - if need be...
