An example on this one:

Austria:

A Alb-Gre
F Ion-Convoys A Alb-Gre

Turkey:

A Ser-Alb
F Gre-Supports A Ser-Alb

If an army attempts to move by convoy to a province in which a unit is supporting an attack by another unit on the province from which that convoyed army originated, will the convoyed army cut the support?

You cannot cut support for an attack on yourself.

Who said anything about a paradox? LOL But I agree with your result. The convoy in this case should not afford a greater ability to cut support. I think the DPTG rules the other way, but I may be wrong there.
