Hey all,

I'm fairly new to A&AM and have a small but blossoming collection of minis (and maxis) but I am a little short on maps. Or interesting maps at least. A quick browse on eBay suggests that winter maps were available to buy at some point - where from? How can I buy them? Did the owner print them off the internet? If so, where are they available and how should I print them off so that they don't look too lame? I've found a few non-snowy maps, such as pegasus, on wizards' site but I wouldn't know how to print them nicely, etc.

I don't mind if they're 2 or 3 inch hex maps and actually a few of each might be nice (variety is the spice of life etc etc). I just read a new post about desert/jungle maps with the NA expansion, which is a good thing, but what about the snowy wastes of Kursk? Or the ruins of Stalingrad and Moscow? Anything any of you can suggest will be appreciated.

Keep fighting the good fight guys. :)

There are no official snow, desert or jungle maps at the mo, but combined desert jungle maps will come out together with the North-Africa set by the end of March 2008.

Historical Battlefronts brought out some themed maps, including a few downloadable ones (Solomon islands and Tobruk), but I'm not sure whether those can still be had...

Sgt. Fury also made a nice set of desert maps. Der Leiter or Remember-OWS- (sorry, I keep mixing those two up in my head) also has some maps available on his yahoo group, but I never saw those because I can't access those groups from work.

But to answer your question directly, I have no knowledge of snowy hex maps... if you find some, be sure to post it here!

Oh, there are of course other games that do have snow maps, Memoir'44 for one has desert and snow maps (blank, with counters to make them however you want).

In the Game Zone sets have been snow maps. So far they have done a snow version of Able 1 & 2, Baker 1, Charlie 1 and Dog 1.

No combat zone available in Europe of course :( , so I did not know that. Did they bring out PDF's of these?

Zeus you are in Europe ? Good to know - potential trader :D

Combat Zone seems to be available in Belgium/Netherlands - at least some of those people seem get them...

in austria I managed to get one set of CZ - believe it was last years december - it had sand terrain and greyhounds...(without stat Cards :()

Some people are willing to trade the maps I would suggest to try out the trade section...

The Combat Zone kits have included BOTH the "1" and "2" Able, Baker, Charlie, & Dog Maps. Each is one sided. You would need eight maps, one of each, to have a complete set.

And yes...I have them all!

I have an extra set of winter A-1, B-1, C-1, and D-1 I would be willing to swap but I am in the states.

Good to know the other part 2 maps are out as well ... seems like it's time to ask the store owner where he has been hiding them.

(PS I'm from the Netherlands, so at least some parts of Europe get them.)
