Howdy,
Seeing the email provided in the rulebook doesn't seem to work, I'm not sure where else to ask:
I've had a look through the FAQ's but either I'm being stupid and just keep missing the rules, or they don't seem to have appeared yet :P
During a recent game of Axis and Allies we ran across a few rules, that we would appreciate if they could be clarified, how these play out.
Some of our queries were sorted by the FAQ but these weren't:
1) During an amphibious assault the player decided to only send in one infantry model at a time to repeatedly get the bombardment rule. Is this allowed?
2) Some board spaces meet into a cross. Are you allowed to move diagonally across these, or must you pass both borders to get across?
3) The rules state that planes on an aircraft carrier "are assumed" to be defending so can be taken as casualties, but do they actually get to attack, or are they just taken off as casualties? (Is the reason the aircraft carrier has defence 3, the assumption the fighters are attacking in that)
4) Are all units assumed to be able to hurt all other units (with the exception of submarines and aircraft) e.g. a bomber can kill fighters as well as land units?
5) Both troop transports and bombarding ships says these must be in the sea zone at the start of the turn. Is this before combat moves ie. the combat move turn , or after ie. at the start of the firing (before non-combat moves)?
6) Relating back to question 1, Can defending units being bombarded actually hurt the ships/transports that are launching the assault, or only the units attacking? (If the case is the one infantry pile off is allowed)
7) Aircraft movement, is that the entire movement to the enemy and back to land, or each way?
8) Can a sector containing one or more battleships, give them hits and then add additional hits to other units. i.e. just to soak damage
e.g. 5 battleships in a sector, 5 hits spread 1 to each
e.g. 1 battleship, 2 destroyers, 2 hits, one on a battleship, one on a destroyer
or must a whole unit be killed before damage can be sent to other units?
9) Can sea units only be built in the original zone (if any) that the base had? e.g. Where UK's original ship started is where all later ships must be built?
Or can they be built into any sea surrounding the area
I hope this can clear some of the rules issues we're having.
Thanks Steve
