No custom avatars or polls! How boring.
Nevermind that I don't have an avatar and have never created a poll! I like to look at them. :o

Now that just sucks. This is abandoning the Avalon Hill brand to become part of a bunch of cheesy card games.
I think I may leave when they close this down.

No avatar, and no user started polls?! This is not good. They will have to correct this in the near future. Otherwise it will get boring and will be abandoned.

Very bad indeed. Who knows, maybe Wotc will listen to us for once.
Or not.

The earlier we migrate there the better. I've already started with a megapost. All my Royal Navy cards, including 4 new types of aircraft, new submarines, the flower corvette, the Leander class which I had forgotten last time and corrections on all previous cards, such as the introduction of range-4+1 for the Warspite and close escort for the Tribal class.
155 units in total.

I hate the thought of moving, but I guess we don't really have any choice. Not having the option to have a custom avatar is a real letdown though - I imagine I won't like this new forum very much.
Also, I can't seem to verify or save my account information - whenever I enter in an e-mail address, I get a message stating that "user information does not match." I only have four e-mail addresses, and I have checked them all - each time, I get the same message and the e-mail section of the form goes blank for me to try another address (the user name and password appear to be fine). This is irritating, and I'm not even sure it's worth bothering with; I don't know what to do now anyway.

Between WotC and the clowns at WizKids... *shakes head* I don't know which is more "you'll take what we give you and like it"--I'm only a recent convert (like around the WAS 1st-release recent), and drop some serious cash on the game (all 3, counting the 1.0/2.0 split), but now I'm starting to reconsider... say a couple months' moratorium on further purchases while I figure out what I'm going to do, other than 1.0 from my FLGS.

Check out http://www.axisandallies.org/. Mostly a board game oriented site but there are some minis boards, you can load your own avatars and has polls and it is not affliated with WOTC. There is also gaming by forum and a in site dice roller.
I wouldn't mind some more WAS talk going on over there to read. One stop for all my A&A needs.
It is likely that if enough guys migrated the site owner would make some adjustments. But that is just a guess mind you.

Or you could go over to this place NeuralDream created:
http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/index.php
For Axis and Allies land and sea minis only. With custom sigs, avatars, and everything else we like about this place.

Often it is the little things that make the most difference.
