1) Are aircraft allowed to cross the traffic signs between sea zones? Or is the forbidden movement also applicable to them and must they fly over the island, spending extra movement points? Our interpretation: forbidden.

2) Is the fase "Land aircraft" only for aircraft that have taken off during their respective movement fases? Or are all aircraft allowed to move, including those which remained aground? Our logical answer: yes, they may move.

3) When the second player moves and attacks with his sub against a sub of player 1, is the defending sub allowed to return fire if it hasn't attacked by itself yet?
Our interpretation: no return fire.

Your interpretation is correct.

All aircraft are considered to be in the air after their respective Movement phases, whether they more or not. So, yes, they may move. Indeed, they may have to, if their previous landing spot on longer exists.

3) When the second player moves and attacks with his sub against a sub of player 1, is the defending sub allowed to return fire if it hasn't attacked by itself yet?
Our interpretation: no return fire.
