Could someone explain in detail how to set up the Belorussia Stack and how it is best used.

I am planning on playing Europe next week and need a strategy with the allies.

No, just sit there as the germans capture moscow.

That was sarcasm, Recon, just so you know ;). Yes, you do counterattack, but only after you're sure you have enough Infantry to back it up. When that will be depends on how hard Germany is concentrating on you.

Well, I almost always play solo; nobody around here (NH) plays wargames. But I do prefer the Allies, yes.

we finally played and the stack worked. I had 40 some INF, 5 or so ART, 5 ARM. He attacked with 22 ARM and unknown amount of INF. I emerged victorious in the battle with occoured in poland. after i survived the attack i marched on Germany and defeated him. I think i just got lucky but it was fun..

Now if i can just figure out how to get USA in the war.

Thanks for the help guys.

I hate all this stacking and rules. I don't like the stack, don't like to do something unrealistic like stacking. Thus I recreated my own version of axis and allies Europe with new rules and a completely new board. I did a beta test with a few friend, but the only problem is that it is so big and so large we got through only like 4 or 5 rounds of play in as many hours. They play to slow I saw.

Basically what I did was keep oceans the same size, but miltiplid the number of land territories. I added a few new units, and new sub detection. Every nation has things different costs to signify the differences inherent in each nation.

I also added manpower rules but didn't use them. Manpower was a very important weaning factor especially towards the end of the war, and the US, and Russia still had huge numbers of draftable people, and the British and Germans had real problems finding of age soldiers by the end of the war. This was most dramatic with the volstrum of course, made of old men and little boys. The Americans and Russians invading germany's heartland were still nice young 18-30 year old men in most cases.

PS:

If anyone anywhere wants to play in the richmond virginia Area I would love. a former best friend I used to play with became a psycho, and last tiume I played cards with him he beat me up for looking at him funny. So I want some normal people to play wargames with around here.

It was not unusual for the Soviets to "Draft" entire villages, ect., of their whole male population. The Soviets had more than their share of old men & boys in thier arm forces/people's army(especially when they reconquered territories, they would also absorb the patisians forces, including the women), along with thier regular fightning(not support) troops made up of females.

Also Stalin, in one of the Big Three Conferences, hinted/*****ing of the unfair burden of war of USSR fightning the Nazies, and, how the manpower crisis was alreading affecting his homeland.

Which new units were added and how does your sub detection work? Can you post your altered map? Thanks.
