Does anyone else think it would have been good for AH/Hasbro to sell special minifig sets from History of the World separately - Ex. an Egyptian warrior set - like one other game company is doing now with some of their requested minifigs?

I think it would have been good for consumers. Not so sure whether it would be good for AH. I'd love to see a breakdown of costs and profitability on those sets that are being done.

Other than to replace lost pieces, though, I'm not sure why you would want these -- the games come with enough, and in some cases, like A&A, the number of pieces is meant to be a limiting factor. What would you use them for?

I think they would be good as inexpensive pieces for period specific battle or strategy games.

I don't know. I mean, they might, but the way they're based might prevent that. It could work, but it might very well not appeal to enough people to justify it.
