We have discovered that most of the sky cards are written so ambigously that they could be used in defense for another player. We are evenly divided in our beliefs that these can or cannot be used in this manner. Even the rule book is written with no yes or no answer.
So the question is, must sky cards be used only for yourself or can they be used for someone else as well?

Personally I feel there are too many ambigously written sky cards for that to be even fair. But others believe that it is equally as fair because it adds an interesting element to the game. We are hopping someone has an expert opinion or maybe even an official answer since there is not yet an FAQ for this game.

I am not sure "officially"...but we use them as in 'General' meaning you can use them in defense to you own units or even for someone else's units- I guess it would depend on what your own group wants to do BEFORE starting the game!

What phase are Sky Cards allowed to be played in? Wasn't there a specific phase? I don't remember.

Sky cards say "Play when attacked." Are you attacked? Then you can play a sky card. And only then. So no, you can't play a sky card for someone else.

Now, if I were the kind of person to invent some partnership house rules for Godstorm, I would definitely make it possible to play a sky card to defend someone else. But not in the game as it stands.
