I'd like to know the operational periods during winter when aircraft flew. Specifically in the North-West European theatre (UK, France, Germany) in the months from November to February. This includes all Nations.
Were aircraft around 60-70% effective?
Not sure where else to post this, but figured someone here would be knowledgeable on the subject...

Well at the battle of the bulge (in december) aircraft is one of the main reasons the Allies emerged victorious.

Uh, that's not exactly correct.
The Germans attacked when they did specifically b/c the weather grounded allied aircraft. By the time the weather cleared, the German offensive had pretty much sputtered out. Allied airpower in the Battle of the Bulge was significant, but IMO it didn't dramatically change the outcome and wasn't decisive.
I think finding exact statistics on allied sorties during winter is A LOT more work than you think. I don't think it has any place in the game either b/c it affects everyone equally and the game doesn't distinguish between seasons. A lot of ideas I see on the board are in danger of turning the game into a micro-managed one, which isn't the intent.

Yeah Attila. Besides, the game turns and large scale spaces makes weather effects on units nil at best.

Of course, the Russian Winter NA does exist so there is a precedent. But I'd rather keep it at once per game.
