A guy posted over at www.boardgamegeek.com to say that he found the game in his local game shop and has purchased it.
Happy hunting.
On a side note, does anyone else find it strange that AH games seem to sneak into stores. There is no fanfare on the web page or anything to announce that it has shipped. All of a sudden it just pops up in stores.

Yes, the game is in stores. :D
I called a store on Thursday asking when they expected it in and the clerk told me it was already on their shelves.
I was there within 20 minutes -- driving safely, mind you.
Well, semi-safely, anyway.

isn't it generally cheaper to buy it online? I suppose supporting your local stores is important too.

I have no local stores. I need to buy it online. Geez.

I always buy locally because I live in Canada and all the online stores charge ridiculous shipping rates to Canada. For soem reason basic snail mail is never an option. You either pay for Fedex or you shop somewhere else.
Besides, I like walking into a store, buying a game and taking it home that day.

me too, but at least my standard online retailer is in the same state, so I usually get it at least the next day.

I actually did find an online store in Canada, but they were charging above MSRP on most games and then you had to pay shipping on top of that. I suppose if you lived in a town with no game store it would be good. But I'd rather not pay more than I have to just to shop on-line.

I've had good experiences with [oops, no commercial links?], but they've changed management recently, so I can't vouch for their current state.

Which brick-and-mortar stores are carrying this? Is it just hobby-type stores, or do some of the "big box" chains (Wal-MArt, Target, etc.) carry it as well?
Thanks,
Mike
