"The Color Red"

After buying Pacific, I always used the red pieces in AA original. Then came revised, and I still prefer the red. I've noticed at some game conventions and people I play they too use the red pieces.

So, What color do you prefer?

I really like the red, but to be honest, I think the "burnt orange" has a nice flavor to it

I also prefer the burnt orange for Japan. As much as I love Pacific, and got used to the "overwhelming red" I think the red in Pacific has a little bit of a "cartoon" feel to it in comparison.

Still, a red "zero" sits perenially perched upon my computer monitor and has been there ever since I first bought Pacific (still my game of choice). ~ZP

The main reason why people use red is because there are more pieces, the number of orange pieces in revised isn't enough.

I prefer earth colors for the A&A pieces like green, grey, tan, & brown. That bright red color for Japan was a mistake. The dark orange color looks good, too bad we just don't have enough infantry and tanks.

I find that burnt oranges are quite bitter, but dipped in homey.... :D
