Regarding scenario 1 - the Mummy
WARNING SPOILERS!

************************************************** ****
It seems strange that the haunt revealer does not become the traitor. The flavor text in the Traitor's book makes it seem as though the person who discovers the sarcophagus becomes servant to the Mummy. This should be the haunt revealer, not the person to their left.

Also, this scenario brings up what is perhaps a more general point about skill roll tokens. The first knowledge roll is to learn the name of the Mummy. The second is to find this name in the book. So, it seems that if the Hero to make the first knowledge roll is not the one with the book, he will need to meet up with the Hero who does have the book before he can look up the name. So the first character would essentially have to hand off the Knowledge Roll token to the character with the book as if it were an item before the second knowledge roll could be attempted. This seems to be suggested by the passage that says that the character with 2 knowledge roll tokens and the book can "attack" the Mummy. Is this the correct interpretation?

This is confusing in the Hero's book because it refers to the Hero as though it were only one person. This suggests a more general question. If one Hero discovers something (such as the first Knowledge Token in this scenario), should other characters be assumed to be in communication as though they have walkie-talkies, or do they in fact need to meet up to exchange this knowledge as I've described above? I ask because I'm guessing this sort of thing comes up in other scenarios as well.

I wasn't really sure. When we did this one we just went with what the book says. Most everyone in my group loves to be the traitor, so if it says "person to the left of the haunt revealer" then that is only fair.

As far as passing knowledge along, I do think that it's a little too easy when a large group of people can fan out, find the information they need, and then just automatically share it amongst each other as if they had walkie talkies or they could yell out the info across the entire house (which was what we just assumed was happening).
Well if there isn't an official FAQ being posted any time soon, why don't you give that scenario another try, or try one similar and require people to pass information along as if they were items (be in the same room with another person).

I've always assumed either that all the Explorers have walkie-talkies, or that the house has ventilation with really good accoustics. Otherwise, when an explorer finds a Haunt in the attic, how come everyone in the basement immediately knows what they need to do to defeat it? I think treating information as if it was an item would be too confusing, since plans or observations could be treated as "information."

What Bruce says makes sense. The other way, however, could call for a couple of items called Walkie Talkie, which allowed you to share information regardless of distance, hehe. Well, they were on a bus and it broke... surely they all have cellulars.

Okay, fair enough. But what about the identity of the traitor? It seems as though it should be the Haunt Revealer. Is this an error?
