I quite enjoyed the second time that I've played this and scenario 21 occured.
The rules use a lot of very specific language, but there are so many words in the game that it's hard to find out what the intent really was.
We guessed, of course. That seemed to make things easier :)
Things that we had to figure out :
1 - Is dynamite a weapon? It's an item, definitely, but although the word weapon appears on some item cards, it doesn't appear on the dynamite card.
Zombies can only be destroyed by weapons, otherwise they're just stunned, so this _does_ make a difference.
2 - Zombies can only be damaged by might attacks. Well, dynamite requires a speed roll: it's clearly not a might attack. Or is it? This seems silly, so we allowed dynamite to hit zombies, but it's really not intuitive.
3 - Can the person with the medallion throw the dynamite at the zombie lord and do damage? It's the dynamite doing damage, not the hero with the medallion, but it was the hero with the medallion who threw the dynamite.
We had no items in the game (though we did have 5 omens in play) when the zombies appeared. It looked like an overwhelming defeat for the heroes but thanks to some bad dice rolls (and some compromised rule interpretations) the heroes managed to pull off victory by defeating the zombie lord. Huzzah!
