Hi to all,

Maybe this has been already answered. I guess I was just waiting for the FAQs, but now that they are out, and nothing about this was clarified, I need to ask:

Lets say that some scenario states that you need to do something in a specific room to win (like Dig), so you know the room you need to perform this action, therefore, you and all the other heroes are going to try to reach this roon ASAP. Obviously, the Traitor (and his crew-Monsters- if applicable) and going to try to get to this room as well. So, once there, what happens? Lets say that 2 heros and traitor and in that room, I kown you can do combat, but the rules say that no matter how many penalties you have, you will always use 1 movement to get out of the room. If thats the case, can a Creature or Traitor stay in the room you need to perform this task all the time? Or can all monsters, heros and traitor stay in the same room until task gets completed? Do combat happens every turn for each hero? How does this whole scenario works?

Thanks in advance

You are always able to move at least one space, but you are not required to move.

Also...you CAN do one of the following actions.....it doesn't say...you HAVE TO attack/combat!

__________________________________________________ _______________

...You can do as many of the following actions as you want in any order:

*You CAN move
*You CAN discover a new room
*You CAN attempt a die roll
*You CAN use items or Omen cards
*You CAN attack (once during your turn after the haunt starts)

-pg 4-

__________________________________________________ _______________

So the characters can do thier thing and when it's the traitor's turn, he/she can attack a character at thier choosing....then the "monsters" can do the same.

[Point being: You don't have to attack if you don't want to on your turn....but just expect to get attacked when it is the traitor's or monster's turn!]

...and if a hero, traitor or monster attacks, he/she/it attacks once. So combat may or may not happen for "every turn for each hero" (e.g. all of the monsters might gang up on one poor hero).

An additional question:

Does an explorer only attack once, if there are multiple monsters in the room, or can the explorer attack each monster once? I'm guessing it is the former. I had a problem like that come up in a game...

Page 8 of the rulebook: "Once during your turn, you can attack an opponent in the same room." (Emphasis added.) So: one attack, one opponent. You can defend against any number of attacks by multiple opponents. Even with single attacks, our group has had at least one scenario go into an epic battle worthy of Sam Raimi, with a pile of tokens being heaped from one side of a room to another as the Traitor tried and failed to bum rush our Ripley-esque, lone-survivor heroine. (Yes, it rocked.)

Anyway, hope this helped with your question.
