Ok I just played the demo which is pretty cool but I don't understand what they mean by "your opponet takes a die of mental damage" when playing the phone call event??

Roll (1) DIE and add the "pips" (none-1, 0r 2) and take that much mental damage: (Knowledge or Sanity or a combo of each)....

makes sense!?- ;)

why does my opponet take this? Shouldn't just be me?

Yeah...it should say:

"Take (1) die of mental damage"

(if you roll 1-2 on 2 dice)....I don't see it where it says:

"Opponent"?!?

OK- I just did the demo..it is pretty cool....I like the music and special effects especially! I did notice a few mistakes... (unless we have been doing it wrong)

According to the demo...it looks like "your friend" (opponent?) rolls for you? We always roll for whoever character's is effected or drew the card or when specifically stated, etc.

So...according to the "real" card....it has "you" (as the character owner) rolling for your fortunes/misfortunes- only makes sense!

Also in the demo...it kind of shows when getting an "Omen" card--the haunt starts...actually there is supposed to be a "haunt roll" that needs to determine if a haunt starts or not!

(Otherwise- COOL DEMO!)-

It's in the demo

(I think that's a mistake)- "You" (the character owner) should roll....

I also found a typo - on one of the screens talking about your opponent rolling it actually says "opponen" instead.

Otherwise I think the demo is a great introduction to the game. Good job to everyone who worked on it.

Cute demo, but it strikes me that someone playing it would get the notion that this was a two-player fight game, or perhaps something like "Zombies."* I don't know that there's any way to do a demo that captures the sheer wtf?!? quality of some of the cards and scenarios or the almost cinematic play-outs we've had in our game group. In any case, I'd like to point out that the demo is pretty, but doesn't quite capture the richness of the gameplay when you really get going.

*Wonderful, fun game, but almost completely unlike "Betrayal" except for the tile-exploration element.
