What video/PC games do you want for the holidays? Here's my list:
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Viewtiful Joe 2
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme
Goldeneye Rogue Agent
Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal
Ghost Recon 2
Call of Duty United Offensive
Tony Hawk’s Underground 2
Jak 3
Call of Duty Finest Hour
Armored Core: Nexus
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Mortal Kombat Deception Premium Pack
Most of the above are Ps2/Gamecube. Well, maybe 2 gamecubes. Gamecube really isn't that great. Well, not until the new Starfox game comes out, after being delayed for about 2 years, right? Haha, so comment on my list, and feel free to write yo own.

As I previously stated I would definitely recommend GTA San Andreas. It gets a lot of bad rap for being too violent but I'd quote a poster on another forum regarding that "Killing in GTA ... funny. Killing in real life ... not funny.”
The games I am looking forward to seeing out are
1) Call of Duty, Finest Hour
2) Raw vs Smackdown
3) Gran Tourismo 4
4) Ace Combat 5 (The new plane fighting game ... I think that's what it is called.)
5) Goldeneye 2
I recently bought (and six days later sold) Star Wars Battlefront. The graphics were amazing and the weapons etc. were very true to Star Wars ... but what a crappy One player story/game. BORING! I imagine it is probably a lot more fun playing online, but I don't have that yet and even if I did I found it to be kinda of a dumb game. I would give it a 6.5/10. I gave it that high a score mainly due to the very impressive graphics of that game.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 - I've been wanting to test my designs in "first person".
Halo 2
Rome Total War
Tribes: Vengance - Loved the first one...it was a HUGE leap forward for it's time, but #2 was a bomb. Hopefully they make up for it with the latest.

Here's some I'm looking to get:
Forgotten Realms, Demon Stone : Heard it's good but real short so I'm waiting for a price drop or a used copy to show up somewhere.
X-Men Legends: Supposedly built on the Baldur's Gate, Champions of Norrath engines
The Bards Tale: also built on the above engine
Blood Rayne 2- I'm still kinda iffy on this one. Don't know if I'll end up getting it.

X-Men Legends is okay... Definitely enough geek references for the X-Men fan, but the camera and controls are a little wonky and the cel-shaded graphics aren't the best. Probably should rent before you buy.

I've been playing Bard's Tale, and I'm enjoying it thus far. I'm eagerly awaiting GT4.

I'm searching for old games, like Masters of Orion 3, Galactic Civilizations and Sid's Meier Alpha Centauri with his expansion Alien Crossfire, especially the last one(the victory by thrascendence it's a real satisfaction).

I am a old comics fan and must get X-men Legends for the X-box. Also Knights of the Old Republic 2 is due out and I want that for the X-box. KOTOR was a blast to play with over 60 hours of gameplay and you could replay it to get the good ending and the evil endings. The new version is supposed to allow your NPC party member to grow more good or evil based upon your actions. Also I will probably get Vampire the Redemption:Bloodlines for the PC. I had the original and loved it. This updated version should kick butt.

I have to agree on Kotor. I usually don't play rpgs on a console but Kotor rocked and I'm having a blast (pun intended) with cyclops in X-men legends.

Sadly gamespot gave Call of Duty : Finest Hour a 6.8/10. I don't accept what gamespot says as god but they are usually pretty accurate in their reviews. I was hoping that this was going to be a really good WW2 game. I'll have to rent it first but i think I'm taking it off my xmas wish list. :(
Anyone tried it yet?
My kingdom for a great WW2 first person shooter for the PS2.

Ok I gave Kotor II a try (17 hours into it) but it sucks way bad, the enemies are too easy and the storyline is a big snooze fest and apparently bunches of people (myself included) are experience x-box lock up from it.

I loved X-men Legends but the ride was a little too short. There also was an issue where I think Havok was supposed to join the team but I couldn't play him at all. I think it was a bad move to not allow you to replay the missions and danger room scenarios after completing the game. All you get are some of the older costumes to use for your characters. Woopee. They should have included these at the start so you could get your use out of them. I don't think I will start a new game just to use new costumes.

I must admit Lt Cotton that I have not played it yet either. I probably will soon but I haven't yet shaken my GTA San Andreas additcion. :) Soon though.
But after seeing your post I did do some further research and 3/4 gamespot user gave it 8/10 or better. So based on that perhaps it is an okay game. If I do get around to renting it I'll let you know whether or not it's worth buying/renting.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is the best, but i love PCwar games like Sudden Strike and Blitzkrieg. I also happen to like Risk for the PC. The Europe map is the best. Also Madden 2005.Oh, and Doom 3.

Well I finally rented (and played) Call of Duty: Finest Hour for the Playstation 2. I liked it overall. The graphics and sound are very good, although sometimes it is hard to tell whether or not you have hit someone or not. I have only played the first part of the game, Stalingrad, but I'd give it a 7.5/10. Not an amazing game but a good one, so far the weapons they use are acurate right down to the annoying wait time to relaod your five bullet clip rifle. So I couldn't say run out and buy it but it's fun and definitely worth renting and then maybe buying.
The only thing that I find frustrating about it is the fact that you can only save when you reach a check point which are often very far from each other. So I found myself in the situation where I'd get to the end of the level which has taken 15 minutes, just to get shot and start over again, a save whenever you like feature would have been nice.
I don't have online play but I imagine this game would be quite fun online.
