View Full Version : Further forum Division?

In view of the recent division of this forum with the creation of the rec room, I wonder if it would be a good idea to further divide the AA board into "Strategy" and "House rule" sections. It must be confusing for newcomers to have to deal with all the different versions discussed here, so a strategy section dealing exclusively with tactics for the standard game could make it easier for them to get into the swing of things. Anyway, here’s a chance to vote on the proposal.

I'm voting against any further division {or sub-division} of the boards.

The Rec Room is a nice addition; a place to post items that may {or may not!} be of interest to fellow members.

I guess my fear is when do you stop segmenting the forum. We could break this into too many pieces: The Strategy Forum...The House Rule Forum...The PBEM forum...The FTF Forum....and on & on. As long as the subject matter pertains to the game; I say NO CHANGE!...keep the forum as is.

I disagree that newcomers are discouraged by how the forums are currently organized. I've been a member less than a year...found my way around O.K.!

the more you categorize the less traffic you have.

I like the constant traffic. I like the constant chatter. We talk about AAR.

To identify what we are talking about ini a thread is easiest by looking at the TITLE of the post.

I would like a division to keep stuff nicely organized.

I agree. I am relatively new also and I managed to survive w/o getting lost or throwing a fit. The high trafffic, and variety of thread does make for a lot of game talk. I say keep it as is.

United we stand, Divided we fall!

Ive also been a member( I said member :D ) for less than a year too, and I, well... on second thought, I don't want to call myself a member anymore; Let's just say I've been on this site for less than a year, and "I'm Alright" ( A little Caddyshack theme music there).
