We played haunt 13 for our first game.

If you look in the traitors manual it tells the traitor to count out the "escape rooms". It lists five specific rooms and the rooms with outwardly facing windows. This is the number of monsters the traitor must get out of the house with.

The problem-
1 None of the named rooms were uncovered yet.
2 None of the windows were outwardly facing as the book stated. They were false windows accourding to all the FAQs we read and didnt count for such scenarios.
3 Once an exit was used the monsters couldnt reuse it.

So even if the traitor got one monster out it would have trapped the others inside.
The players all agreed it was lopsided as they allready have the required item to win at the start of the haunt (as is required to start the haunt) and we didnt need to uncover any more rooms, thus trapping the traitors monsters, since monsters arent allowed to explore new rooms and the traitors character is asleep and cant explore.

We took the problem a step further due to our playtesting backgrounds. The number the traitor writes down in the third step (the one that determines his win) is based on the number of rooms he can count on the board. The first half of the problem is that many windows are placed facing the walls of other rooms and become false. The second half is that what happens if the existing windows get covered up by the placement of new tiles or the placement of new tiles adds more. This combined with the above problem quickly took the fun out of the game. We left the game set up until we could get the answer.
