1. no, 8VCs favors axis and not enough dice slaying time per game
2. no, 10VCs invariably favors the allies too much
3. nah, that would just take forever
4. yes, a good alternative to 9VC (quite popular with the TripleA Revised crowd)
5. prefer no bid, never ask for one but will still grant it to the insistant
6. nah, not big on NA's
7. ??? is this like strip poker?
8. would like to try it sometime (some changes I'm not too keen on tho)
9. absolutely! being supreme commander is fun
10. but 5 player games are the best... bring 'em on!
11. ~> Insert choice: "medium victory" of 9VC's - absolutely yes

ZP, can you please comment on what changes in enhanced you do not like... we'd like to make this the best variant possible.

You should add the 9 VC option in the list. Alot of people play with that...
For Enhanced I think it is quite alot better then the out of the box rules, although I still must fully test them out.

Obviously I like to play with my own house rules, particularly
No NC Movement phase
Defenders can retreat after any round of combat
No use of captured ICs
Unlimited rail movement through friendly land territories
Artillery cannot move and fire in the same turn, but can bombard an adjacent territory
On the subject of VCs, I find that (apart from a quick 8VC thrash) whatever conditions are set I always concentrate on eliminating one opposing nation (Russia, Germany or occasionally Japan) regardless.
In other words I tend to stick to the objective of eliminating the enemy's fighting capacity rather than occupying particular territories.

Are you still not eliminating the enemy's fighting capacity by occupying particular territories?

What I'm saying is that blowing up 3 Soviet tanks is more advantageous than occupying Leningrad for a turn. A player who just makes an all-out drive for a couple of target cities will loose out in the long term to a carefully planned war of attrition.

No Minor/Major Victory, only Conceded Victory (I picked Total Victory, but it isn't the same...) when one find himself surely lost he concede!
Till now I played Revised out-of-the-box, so without Bids, without NA's and no Enhanced, I had not played so much to be bored of these rules, then I would begin with NA's and then with Enhanced.
To reply to Axis-Roll, like Zero-Pilot I don't like ALL the changes in Enhanced too. But I will not say "this one I don't like, this one yes" because it's a matter of personal taste. I like 80% of Enhanced rules, but still there's a 20% I don't like, I feel like there's so much things in it, so much rules! I find the Rev. rules are simplier, although I agree there are surely not perfect!
I normally play Face-To-Face cause I lack opponents... We are only two serious A&A addicted who find the time to play the game, but the best think is to play 5 persons! More fun! Play Online with TripleA is also very funny and I like it much!

1- Good for FTF tournament with a bid and limited time.
4- A good one, play till one side is dominant and call it.
5- Necessary for play balance. Axis wither on the vine without it.
6- Adds spice and upredictability to the game. Difficult to balance.
8- Interesting so far.
9 & 10- Lots of fun to get together with friends for friendly game.
It's basically a great game, no matter how you play it.

I don't think the minor victory game is such a short one actually. I you sink japan's trp on UK1 and get a russian fighter on India + surrounding british units, it gets tricky for the Axis to win on their first turn (They can play the entire game on a dice roll as Japan can only take fighters as casualty in an uncertain outcome battle...And on my side, I don't play with people who do that...)
And don't be fooled, the Axis isn't so advantaged. If you have an american fleet by the UK isles, you can be in range of Leningrad and france for a drop anytime to counter an axis victory. You can also have that bothering US fleet around the solomons, threathening the philippines and Japan. I've actually seen a US player running away with victory on Turn 3 or 4. I even remember a game in which I sent all I could east with the german and managed to capture Moscow and have a huge stack on berlin. The english took Kwantung with his Indian horde of tanks and I wasn't able to take it back. And then, the american player took Paris, Leningrad and philippines. How stupid I felt that day, realizing that in megalomaniac race for moscow, I forgot to defend my strat points. Anyway, that's for my kind of victory.
I like the basic rules with random NA. As said above, random NA give the Axis a chance... And I think the rules are great like that. Haven't found annoying glitches yet and I know what games to play when I want some more strategic gameplay.
5 people games rock! I play a lot of these. Always end up with someone raging against the dices!
Basics:
Praying is allowed during our games. I've seen a guy call for Allah's help on a 9 inf with banzai attack on India def by 7 inf and a fighter. He got 8 kills outta 9 rolls. The english got 2.... Imagine the disaster for the allies and the Immediate conversion to Islam that ensued.
We also permit teasing... very efficient against players whom overconsider their army strength. Seen hordes of tanks scrapped that way! :D
Behemoth  (Our name for a game destruction after frustrating dice rolls, often, the player takes all the dices and throw them at the board, bringing apocalypse!/ Just call it Abandon) allowed but people tend to remember your loser attitude...
Smokin and drinkin permitted by opponents but severly criticized by team mates ;)
Our group uses 9 VC's, but I must admit, Total Victory is a personal favorite.
5 people games are, in my opinion, the most enjoyable.
As for NA's, we use them every second or third game.
Adios

If you have a lot of time (or a not very good axis player) total victory is best but i usually play major victory or the 9 VCs game.
