I am looking at making some control markers for some various minor powers. Does anyone have any advice as to a good program to use to print them out.

So far I am looking at printing out 35 per sheet contact paper sized ones, and then sticking them to cardboard backing. Any help will be appreciated.

It is for a world scale fictional "post Napoleonic age" variant I am working on, if anyone is curious.....

we use the simple ms paint program for the majority of our icons, we also use the ms photo editor to convert bmp, to gif, to jpg...

So what do you do for the ones for the FTF games?

I have found a way to print off the flags, them cut then into circles and apply to contact board so as to make them like the ones from the original game but it is a lengthy process that requires a dexterous hand.

Well, Avery labels has templates you can download from their website. You could then use some of their circular labels and apply them to a base.

Just a thought.

yes it does take a dexterous hand, after close to 20 years of making maps, i should be the scissormaster instead of elbowmaster...not to mention using a sharpie perm marker for the linework...yikes, be careful, its easy to make mistakes...!!

i also use an over sized hole punch, works great for the IPC values...

averylables...thats what i use, full sheet lable paper...then cut out icon flags...etc...

just do a search on avery lables...or visit your local office max ;)
