what kind of idiot makes a second name? That is just stupid. A second name for an Avalon Hill board? So stupid...

Welcome back Elbow(Master/Sanchez)! Why the change, was it just because you hit 1000, or is there some Y2K thing going on with those who exceed 1000 posts? Should I put in for a promotion and come back as a Captain? :D

Quick side question though. I can not seem to get the topographical maps for sale page to come up, but in your experience is the smaller one listed big enough to use, still breaking up territories roughly as small as derpanzinator did with the Supreme Commander map, and still have the territories large enough to get some game pieces on? Or do I need to look at the next larger size.

(The specific sizes escapes my memory, and the site is not up for me to verify, sorry.)

yes it was my plan...to retire after 1000 posts, no reason...

looks like they changed the maps.com website, i will update that on my website, thanks for the heads up...but try that, and drill down to the world wall maps...

for a standard revised map, us a DMA3, 3 piece world map...~34 x 72"

for a monster map, go DMA6, 6 piece world map, and let me say, its LARGE...~54 x 112...but you can make any version on that one ;)

do a search on dma6 world maps, you may just find something less expensive...maps.com a little more these days...

The last one I put together is 36"x46" so it is a little squished. Does 34"x72" give Europe enough room on the map to for example, seperate Italy into three territories and still fit some game pieces on the board?

might be a little tight...but i think you could pull it off...the DMA1 is too small...it would work for MB second edition only...
