After reading some interesting articles online, I am beginning to believe that Kurt Cobain, musician, was murdered, not suicide.

What do you guys think?

It's a shame either way...

There's been theories that Courtney Love did it since the day it happened. I think it's giving her WAY too much credit that she could pull it off. From what I've seen since, she can barely dress herself in the morning, let alone pull off the perfect murder!

I'm not sure who else had the incentive to do it. The other band members were torqued at Courtney, her being the Yoko to their Lennon. I'd think it more likely they'd have incentive to off her and make it look like an accident.

Cobain fed himself an explosive meal of 00 buckshot, plain and simple.

BUT, from what I've read, the amount of heroin in his body was great enough to have him immediatly paralyzed... so how would he shoot himself after that?

And also, why no fingerprints on the gun?

Perhaps in a moment of clarity he realized who/what he was married to, and realizing he would never be able to shake the stigma of being "with" her, and in a fit of dispare he kills himself. :D

well i think the matter evolved into a locals legends, its hard to have hard evidence or facts about it anymore, but i strongly agree that it would be murder

Regarding the herion dose: users/addicts develop a tolerance for many drugs over time, hence the need for greater quantities for each fix (to achieve the same, or greater, level of high). What may be enough to kill a first-timer would most likely be simply above-average for a long-time user. Look at Keith Richards...that guy should be dead ten times over.

While no fingerprints on the gun carries some suspicion, to make a leap to murder based upon this one piece of evidence is a big stretch. Wasn't Cobain in bed when it happened. Any chance the bedsheets were covering his hands? Also, were there no prints, or no discernible prints? Not all fingerprints are useable (such as partial, smeared, or smudged). I have not read the police report, but this is a distinction that may be getting overlooked (or ignored, depending upon the murder theorist's motives).

The complete story will probably never be known, since Courtney was likely, in a stupor as well.

if you go to a website (cobaincase) it is actually written by a detective who investigated it. it's a pretty interesting read- it has his dialogue between courtney love and himself, as well as kurt's friends.

Interesting site Series! But whether he killed himself or was killed by others, Nirvana was a superband and their songs are still very strong. It's a shame Cobain is dead, he could have written so much more great songs.

I play Smels like teen spirit, Drain you, Lounge act and Come as you are from Nevermind with my cover band. We always have fun playing those songs, although the audience doesn't always agree to that! Playing Bryan Adams (Canada's worst export product if we don't take Celine Dion into account) is much more appreciated. But it's so BOOOOOOOOORING! :p

From what I recall, the detective was hired by someone who stood to inherit Cobain's estate if Love was found guilty of murder. I think it was his mom, or some other close relative. I would encourage you to put equal time investigating the other side of the story before you come to any additional conclusions. I do remember it was not as cut-and-dry as the investigator portrayed it to be...that there was equal evidence to indicate it was a suicide.

Yeah, I consider the Nevermind album a must-have in all my MP3 playlists.

whats your band like?

We play all kind of stuff. Nirvana, 3 doors down, Bryan Adams (and boy do I like that!!! ), Cake, Nada Surf, Fountains of Wayne, Bruce Springsteen etc.

The band is called Cover Me (after a Springsteen song, not my suggestion though. I suggested Timmy and the lords of the underworld (from a Southpark episode). But My suggestion didn't make it. They said it was too long...... :( )
I play drums  . What do you play?

I play the guitar (not very well however). We're working on original music (my band), but not doing too good. We only have a few guitar things down...

I have a band as well. I am the vocalist. I did look at that website about the Kurt Cobain case and i thought it was quite interesting. I am not sure if he killed himself or was he murdered?
