Time Commanders

On the subject of TV shows has anyone else seen Time Commanders? Basically this is a gameshow based on wargames. The first series was exclusively set in the Roman era.
The second run has just started and has moved into the dark ages, unfortunately the show has been ruined - no tactical overview makes it impossible to follow the course of the battle. Can't believe they screwed it up so badly.

I saw some episodes of the first season. I think it was based on rome Total war engine, isn't it? Not a bad program, really .
