I tried pagan's ideas and they didn't work for me, so anyone else have some techniques? Thanks.

There's nothing more to it.
You need a better graphics program than the crappy MSPaint that comes with windows.

..maximize MapView
..press these TWO buttons on your keyboard: CTRL + PrtScn/SysReq
..You just Screen-Captured your monitor view
..go to a Graphics Program , Paste , save as a JPG with lower Size (below 39bytes)
..I use MSPhotoDraw, I crop out the sides , And compress the JPG to around 90%
..File _ Save As _ change to JPEG _ Options-or-Compress button _ select 90% _ Save
..on the Post Reply option in the forum at the bottom of the typing screen there is an Add File thing. Upload your file and it will disply with your message.

I can only take a smaller screen shot, and I need to decrease my screen res (now I'm at max 1280 by 1020)
I try to remove any extraneous comment boxes and also I 'blur' the image a bit to decrease the sharpness and hence the image size...
It can be a pain even at lowest jpg setting to get under 39k

The master CJ himself just links a seperate website (or so I believe) that contains the pictures. He hasn't yet confirmed or denied the PM i sent him so the super statistics sleuth is on his trail. :D

Here's how I do it:
1. Get Gadwin Printscreen here: http://www.gadwin.com/download/
-it's freeware, and very simple to use. Maximize Mapview, position your map, and then just hit the Print Screen button. Voila, you now have a jpeg of your game.
2. Get a Graphics Program. I use Paint Shop Pro and managed to find a free demo version somwhere on the net (can't remember where). Load up your jpeg, crop appropriately, and then shrink the image down to 70% width and height.
3. Post a link to the pic online. This can be done for free using Imageshack: http://www.imageshack.us/ Basically allows you to upload the pic, and then post a link to it, which actually displays the image.
