We had a Mr. Bean also, but sadly he ended up as roadkill..... :(
I don't know if it was a three-weeled car or a yellow mini that hit him....

And we wanted to name the horse Captain Darling, but his name had to start with an N. Has something to do with offspring and year of birth. But that's my wife's terrain of exeprtise.

Baldrick is a red coloured cat with swirls......
No kiddin', he really is!

He was 1.5 years when he lost his tail. I found him on the dogs rug when I came home from work. The vet said it must have been cut off by someone. He was almost sure that it was no accident. Baldrick was lucky to get out of surgery alive. Man, if I ever find out who did it.....

Exactly one year later he broke on of his behind legs. Probably got hit by a car. The bone was all scatered. Again he survived, although his leg is still a bit shaky. But he seems to have no pain at all and it is actually verry funny to watch him run with his unstable leg and no tail. We should not have named that cat Baldrick. He's got too many cunning plans that just don't work out.....

We have another red cat (Dreumes, means something like little fellow) who lost an eye in a fight with another cat. They did a great job in surgery though. It is not an ugly wound, it just looks as if one eye is permanently closed ;). The hair grew nicely on the wound.

Yup, we have great cats, but expensive ones...... :D

That is so cool, two red cats with swirls and no tails! Whats the odds?? Peanut was found by the road when he was a kitten. Sick and near death. The vet gave him very little chance of living out the week, but I said I rather take him home and try to nurse him with a eyedroper. After many days he started to improve. Peanut was born without a tail. Doc said he was a manx. Peanut grew to be a huge cat that was grease lighting when he ran. Thus, he became the King around the area. Believe it or not he prefers to live outside the house, in my neice's treehouse. I just put the food at the bottom of the tree and call his name, and there he is!! He is about 12 years old now, and with no signs of slowing down. When he get too old to do his normal routine, I'll bring him in the house so he can get plenty of attention.

He is my favorite cat.

We used to have a cat. Grand old fellow. Big black tom (called Tom...), who'd tend to disappear for days on end, and show up again eventually. Always willing to be petted, never scratched one of us. Came home one day, and found him in the back garden dying. Some kind of stroke or heart attack, never knew what. One of the most heartbreaking moments of my life, just sitting there helpless watching one of my most favorite animals in the world die. I was about 12. Found out I'm allergic about two years ago, so haven't gotten another. I miss that cat a lot.

I'm much older than you so I have lost family, friends, comrades in arms, and yes many pets. Always remember the joy they gave you, is the key. I presently have a small black cat called Twilight in the house with me. Funny, I have a slight allergy to my cats, but I can't resist them.

I know what you're saying. I still rehash some of the good old memories of Tom, so he's not totally gone :). Also, if it were just my allergy, we'd probably have a cat, 'cause it's not that serious, but my little sister is very allergic, so... oh well. I guess family is slightly more important than another pet ;).
