I would give you a rematch but i'm afraid AWNIL and I are doing some preperations for the big USA vs. rest-of-milky-way-galaxy tournament coming up. Maybe we'll draw each other in the tourny and you can once again fall victim to Vollick's Reverse African Scoop. ;)

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, not the Reverse Africa Swoop! I still have nightmares. I'll fully admit that you are a better player than me, Vollick. A game with the human calculator again? I wouldn't wish that on my enemies. How do you fair when you have to play fast face-to-face I wonder?

Well if you admitted that i'm a better player then you would be wrong, I would say we're on the same level, but you gave me what was about equvialent to a 6 or 7 bid in the game and in my mind for Enhanced 2.1 that might be about 6 or 7 IPC's too much. Plus I played pretty slow and methodically, but in my mind the axis take longer to play than the allies, with so many options of what to do can take some time to determine what is the optimal course of action. Face to face is somewhat easier because you get to determine your next purchase almost as soon as you see your opponents purchase, in PBEM you may get the combat map, the results and then a final map all at the same time so it takes some time to decide. If i'm ever down south i'll look you up and beware Vollick's Reverse Africa Scoop. ;)

axis_roll, I don't think I am quite ready to take on team ar. Close, but not quite. The majority of my games have been face-to-face, and the competition was lacking. I'm getting a new education in both the Axis and the Allies through PBEM. Once I develop effective counters to the latest batch of tactics, I'll be sure to get in a game with you. I want to give you a run for your money, not a speedbump and a yawn. Perhaps our first game will be as partners in Team USA vs Team Canada, who knows? (I'm not sure whether it wil be fixed partners or not.)

I play AAR over at AAMC. My 3rd & 4th games ever played, believe it or not, were against CJ. I won’t say how badly I lost them. :o
